    International Juvenile Law Expert

    Volunteer, with another member of the American judiciary and a Canadian gender law legal expert, by UNDP/Belarus, for a project relating to a concept paper on court organization in Belarus. I was the juvenile expert for this project. I researched and wrote a juvenile law review of the project, identifying the knowledge required for the project to be successful from a judicial and policy perspective. I travelled to Minsk, Belarus, where, with my colleagues, I presented this review document at a Round Table of judges, UN officials and others. I also attended various meetings in Minsk to talk about international standards of juvenile law.   Read Press Release

Judge Hyman has appeared on "Nightline" with Ted Koppel, on "Good Morning America" with Jamie Floyd, and 60 Mins 11 with Vicki Mabrey, and the Montel Williams Show (twice). 

His "Nightline" appearance focused on juvenile delinquency mental health issues, and in his "Good Morning America" interview he drew upon his experience and expertise concerning juvenile domestic and family violence.

The 60 Minutes and Montel Williams Show discussed Judge Hyman's juvenile DV court, the first one in the U.S.

On November 27, 2008, he appeared on the Ottowa, Canada show, "The 'A' news show with Karen Soloman." Host: Karen Solomon.
